Essential Eight

Essential Eight are a set of eight prioritised cybersecurity mitigation strategies developed by the ACSC (Australian Cyber Security Centre) to help organisations protect and mitigate against cybersecurity threats.

To assist organisations with the implementation of Essential Eight, four Maturity Levels (ML) have been defined: ML0 through to ML3. These four defined levels help organisations to assess their current security posture and provide guidance and direction towards implementing the targeted levels.
